This adventure offered seamless and excellent communication with Norberto from start to finish. Transport began at a prompt 8:30 am in a new passenger van with two oversized sunroofs. Waters were provided along with a thorough history on the Douro Valley in very fluent English. Norbertos love and passion for the Douro and his country shine clear all day.

The first winery offered a cellar tour and very upscale outdoor tasting area (bring a jacket if you get cool). It was harvesting time so after tasting the freshly picked grapes, we viewed them in the cement knee deep containers waiting to be stomped by foot. This is an old fashioned winery doing all their processing by hand including harvesting.

After another scenic drive we were at the 50 minute boat tour. We had about 20 minutes to use the restrooms and grab a snack which I would recommend as lunch is at the last winery around 2 pm. The small covered boat held about 12 people plus two guides who provided history of the valley in both English and Portuguese. Life jackets were in clear view and the boat was clean and comfortable and you entered by ducking under the canopy and swinging your leg over.

The last winery started out in the back of an old dusty building where Norberto stood outside and rang the huge bell for entry. An iron gate blocked our view and when the gate swung opened Norberto was welcomed like long lost family. We entered a huge magical garden with tents, trees and beautiful light where you felt like you had traveled back in time. The kitchen tour looked like it was from the 1600’s where the food was being cooked over open flame. Norberto dined with us at a table under the beautiful trees as we were served a multi course meal of outstanding food and wine. My husband still raves about the meat selection and the overall quality and varied selection of food. After lunch we were treated to a demonstration of wine bottle opening with fire.

I used Grok AI to search tours in the Douro Valley and Norberto’s name was in high regard. An initial link for a small deposit is emailed upon booking and the final payment link sent days before the trip.

Norberto was an excellent tour guide, we could not have wished for better. Very communicative before the tour and really knowledgeable and fun during the tour. We had a wonderful day, the van was super comfortable and took 6 of us and all of our purchases easily. Exceptional tours with a passionate guide!

Amazing tour through Douro valley!
We had one of the best experiences on our tour with Norberto through the Douro valley. He picked our group up from Porto then took us to this adorable town where he grew up called Amarante. They had some very interesting pastries there as well. Then we left to our first winery, a smaller one in the valley, where we got to taste 60 year old white port – seriously the best port I’ve ever had! Then we went to an authentic Portuguese lunch in a charming town, on to a gorgeous viewpoint, and river cruise. Last we went to one of the bigger wineries along the river which had it’s own orange and lemon trees that they let us taste from. Throughout Norberto was an amazing guide – answering all our questions and even providing his own dessert wine at the viewpoint! We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would definitely book again if in this area again.

Wonderful day!
Norberto loves his country and its culture. This passion showed in our day long tour of the Douro Valley from Porto. We covered a lot of ground but in a nicely paced and well narrated way. He stopped at all the best spots for photos, picked great local spots for tastings and made great recommendations for food.

Highlight of our visit to Portugal
We loved the tour of the Doro Valley, and it easily was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Norberto was wonderful – polite, knowledgeable, and funny. We would definitely do it again!

My group of friends had a private day tour to Douro Valley and absolutely loved it and him! He was very professional, nice and easy to get along with. Amazing!

We did 2 tours with Norberto – the Douro Valley day tour and 1/2 day to Aveiro & Costa Nova. The minute that we met Norberto, we felt that we had known him forever. He has a wonderful personality – warm, funny, very knowledgeable, relaxed and just happy to be with you. The trips with him were so enjoyable and it was good to get off the beaten track and see things from more of a local viewpoint.We hope to do more with sightseeing with him in the future.

Magical Douro Valley Tour

We, four in a family, did the “Douro Valley Tour” with Ennetours and were guided by Norberto who is also the owner of the tour company. First off from the price to value perspective, there is nothing out there that gives you the value that this tour gives you. In Norberto, we not only found a efficient and knowledgeable guide but also a friend who goes above and beyond to make memories for you and make you happy.

Norberto has a beautiful and comfortable van which made our travel very smooth. All through the tour, Norberto kept us engaged with wonderful facts and stories of the area.
We first were taken to the beautiful town of Amarante, we toured the beautiful narrow streets, the cathedral and the surrounding area.

If I had to describe how paradise looks like, Douro valley would probably be something that would come to my mind. The lush green vineyards on the valley with the beautiful Douro river flowing through it is something that gets permanently etched in our mind. We were taken to the best spots and views to get some of the most awesome pictures we have ever taken.

We were then taken to a non-touristy restaurant, very well known to locals, where we had the best Portuguese meal in Portugal. It as sort of fine dining. I had the wood oven roasted lamb which just melted in my mouth while rest of the family’s dishes of Veal and Bacalao Braga was awesome. The meal came with delicious bread, appetizers and wine. Note that this was all included in the tour (WOW).

Next we went for wine tasting with also a tour of the winery called “Quinta do Tedo”. The wines were amazing and the person showing u was extremely humorous. Th view from there was to die for.
Lastly we went to the small own of Pinhao where we were given the historical railway station and the ties decorated on it.

I highly recommend this tour to everyone, we thank Norberto for the wonderful experience and will always remember you as the best tour guide (and a friend) we ever had.

wunderbare Tour durch Porto und das Dourotal!

Wir hatten mit Norberto eine Stadttour durch Porto, die uns die Stadt in ihrer Ursprünglichkeit gezeigt hat und wir waren sofort begeistert. Norberto ist ein wunderbarer Führer, der alle Details und Hintergründe kennt. Wir haben dadurch einen super Überblick über die Stadt gewonnen. Außerdem war die Kontaktaufnahme und auch die gesamte Kommunikation einfach und unkompliziert.
Wir hatten außerdem noch eine Tagestour ins Dourotal gebucht. Und auch diese Tour war wahnsinnig schön. Wir haben so viele Dinge gesehen und die Zeit verflog im Nu. Und dann noch das ausgezeichnete Essen!!!! Und erst der Portwein-Aperitif am Aussichtspunkt!
Wir können Ennetours nur empfehlen und freuen uns sehr auf ein Wiedersehen. Herzlichen Dank Norberto für die tolle Zeit!!

“50th birthday celebrations”
Travelled with a group of friends for a friend’s 50th. What an amazing, fun packed long weekend we had. Norbetto designed the best tour of Porto and beyond. The apartment we stayed in was amazing and clean (1851), though the staff could have been a bit more friendlier. That of course did not spoil our trip as we rarely spent time indoors. Personalised, professional and fun! Just perfect!!!
I’m Portuguese and my boyfriend Brazilian. I decided for my bf birthday i wanted to give him a taste of Portugal. I talked to Norberto and made a plan for the day with is suggestions and my suggestions. Norberto was amazing in all the preparations super flexible, easy going and full of great ideas. We had an Amazing day in the Douro valley, Norberto took us to touristic and non touristic spots (that only insiders know), he gave us an overview of the History, economy and social aspects of Douro but always with a hint of fun and witty humour!!! Food was amazing (i’m a vegetarian) and the wine obviously even better!!

Just brilliant!
Me and my girlfriend did a Tour with Norberto in Douro valley. We requested to focus the tour on wine tasting so that’s what we had! From the farm land, to the villas where port wine is produced to the tasting of the regional products. We enjoyed the views with a proper glass of wine in hand, drunk different wine varieties, enjoyed the food from a local restaurant and enjoyed Norberto’s great companionship and free spirited talk.

3 Touren in und um Porto

Unsere 1. Tour, Abholung vom Flughafen, hat super geklappt.
Am nächsten Morgen unsere 2. Tour, 4-stündige Stadtführung. Katharina und Norberto haben uns abgeholt und wir haben die Stadt auch abseits von Touristenpfaden erkundet. Wir haben viel über das Land, die Stadt, die Geschichte, das Essen, Geheimtipps erfahren und die beiden machten die Tour spannend, kurzweilig und individuell.
Die 3. Tour führte uns einen ganzen Tag ins Douro Tal mit seinen wunderbaren Aussichten und Weinen. Norberto liebt seine Heimat und weiss einfach viel über Tradition und Geschichte. Das Mittagessen in einem portugiesischem Lokal war hervorragend.
Die beiden haben uns in unserem Urlaub immer wieder mit Ratschlägen versorgt, zB wo man in der Umgebung typisch portugiesische Restaurants findet usw..

An amazing Trip!
Together with my best friend we had two tours with Norberto. The first one was in Porto. He showed us of course the big, touristic spots like the Church of Saint Ildefonso or train station Porto São Bento, but he also knew those secret and beautiful places, remote form the masses, where you can enjoy this great city the most having an amazing view on the Ponte Dom Luís I while eating Francesinha. Norberto knows absolutely everything about the city and Portugal itself and could answer us every question we asked. He also told us so many things we wouldn´t even recognized otherwise!
Our second tour was through the Douro Valley. We made a picnic on a hill where we had breath-taking view. The trip took several hours including long time periods sitting in the bus, but it was neither boring nor exhausting. Noberto showed us many spots all over the valley where we could enjoy the moment or take some pictures. We also took part in a wine tour at Sandeman´s (tasting some very delicous Port wines) which was very interesting.
All in all it was a great time in Porto and we both enjoyed the tours a lot! I really can recommend Ennetours as Norberto and Katharina are both very lovely and friendly people who really want you to enjoy your trip the most!

Douro Valley was so beautiful and is a must to see! To start at the top, with the most stunning viewpoints, then slowly going down through the vineyards and wrap it up by visiting one of the vineyards and get to know how the wine is produced as well as taste it was just a perfect way to get to know the wine producing-culture. The car was so comfortable and the guides really knew where to take you to get the best possible experience. And the lunch was really good!
