Norberto was an awesome guide. Great personality, highly knowledgeable. Very accommodating to our needs, he showed us the best views of the city, shared with us the best stories of Porto’s history and drove us safely through the narrow streets. We truly enjoyed our time with Norberto. We began our day as strangers, and by the time we returned to the cruise ship pier we had become friends, and made some memories that will last a lifetime. It doesn’t get any better than that. Thank you, Norberto.
We had a great tour with Norberto. We explored all of Porto. He is very informative and we had a fun day. Thanks for a wonderful tour.
We spent a delightful day in Porto touring with Norberto. His knowledge was amazing about all the churches and history of Porto. The river cruise was a nice touch and gave us a chance to see Porto and Gaia from the river’s perspective. Overall, we loved the Sao Bento Train Station tour the best. What a fascinating dispay of artwork for such a busy place! Very unexpected, but well worth the time. Thank you for guiding us and sharing your love of Porto.
Wonderful day in Porto with Norberto!
Our group of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour of Porto with Norberto.
The tour began promptly at 9:30 when we were picked up at our hotel. The van was clean and comfortable.
Our first stop was at Sao Bento train station with its amazing tiles. Next we walked through the oldest streets in Porto on our way to Se Cathedral. During the day we visited many areas that we would not seen on our own. Norberto was able to point out so many things that we would not have noticed otherwise.
Lunch (at our own expense) was at a restaurant in a fishermen’s village. The menu offered many choices but this was a chance to try the local grilled sardines.
The viewpoint at Mosterio da Serra do Pilar offered wonderful views of the Duoro and the Dom Luis bridge.
The included Six Bridges boat tour offered views of the city and its bridges from another angle.
Our final stop of the day, before being taken back to our hotel at 5:30, was a short walk in the area near Igreja do Carmo.
This review only includes the highlights of the day. There was also a lot of interesting conversations and laughter.
Norberto is a very engaging guide who enjoys introducing visitors to his country’s history, Porto’s amazing views and architecture.
