Born in the beautiful town of Amarante, Norberto is an inveterate traveller – he's been to more than 50 countries. He has driven across the African continent from Morocco to South Africa and taken the longest train journey in the world! He boarded a train in his home country, travelled through Europe, Siberia, Mongolia, China and arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. But he didn't stop there. He continued backpacking through Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand all the way to Malaysia!
He has volunteered with street children in Mali, with HIV-positive children in Uganda and in an orphanage in Mombasa, Kenya, and is the author of ‘Africa in the Senses', a book about his travels and volunteering.
He has a degree in International Relations, has worked in England, loves his country's history and Porto is his favourite city; it's the one he's always in a hurry to get to!
